St. Nicholas Powerhouse and Related Buildings

The powerhouse for the St. Nick Breaker is just like the one for any breaker. There is a steam turbine, generator and boilers. The rotator building is there and the pit below is full of water, as is the conveyer that goes under it and takes the coal to the top of the breaker for processing. There is a long building after the powerhouse but before the rotator used for thawing out train gondolas that are frozen going to the rotator. There is a large blower inside that was used to blow hot air into the ceiling and down on the exposed coal in the cars.
