When our friend Joe Keating asked us if we wanted to put up a display at the Plymouth armory we jumped at the chance. We really had no idea what to expect of this event. We didn’t know how many people would be there, what we should bring, or even if our display would look good. Well, we can say that it was a big hit with everyone. John, Mully and Chris brought all of their mining photos. We also brought along most of the items we recovered from the mines, various maps we have acquired, a functional carbide lamp, our flame safety lamp, and some of Johns display lamps. Mully had a great idea of playing one of our exploration videos while people browsed our display. That was a big hit. Carissa did a great job telling people about the site and handed out a bunch of flyers. It was funny seeing the look on peoples faces when they realized such young people are behind the Underground Miners. Besides little kids dressed up as breaker boys, we were the youngest people there. We all thought this was a great event!
